Syrian government-held areas record 66 new coronavirus infections
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The media office of the Syrian Ministry of Health recorded yesterday four deaths and 66 new coronavirus infections in its areas of control.
The deaths were one each in Damascus, Homs, and two in Suwayda, it said.
Meanwhile, the media office reported 96 new recoveries.
The new infections were 12 each in Damascus and Homs, 10 each in Hama and Suwayda, 8 in Tartus, 6 in Aleppo, 5 in Latakia, 2 in Deir ez-Zor, and 1 in Quneitra.
The total toll of the confirmed coronavirus infections in government-held areas has come up to 49,631, including 2,837 deaths and 30,961 recoveries.
