Turkish forces arrest resident of Syria’s north
ALEPPO NORTHERN COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces arrested, on Friday, a resident of Jinderis District, in the countryside of Afrin, north Aleppo on charge of dealing with the Autonomous Administration in the past.
The Turkish intelligence arrested Rashid Manan Sido, known as Ahmad Sha’a, an eyewitness told North Press.
He was arrested in a neighborhood in Jinderis and was transferred to Yadar prison in the village of Aghjleh by the Turkish forces and his fate is still unknown, according to the eyewitness.
Several offices that are run by the Turkish forces deploy in all cities of the northern countryside of Aleppo including Azaz, Afrin and al-Ra’i in addition to prisons affiliated with those offices.
The city of Afrin and its villages, north of Aleppo, have been controlled by Turkish forces and the affiliated factions since March 2018.
The Afrin region has been witnessing cases of killing, kidnapping and arrest, in addition to frequent bombings, amid the inability of the factions controlling it to settle the security in the region.
