Senior ISIS members arrested in Iraq

ERBIL, KRG, Iraq (North Press) – On Thursday, the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul announced the arrest of what he described as senior members of the Islamic State organization (ISIS).

Rasoul said in a statement “he presents a small part of the operations to the media for intelligence reasons, and the rest will be presented at the appropriate time.”

He added that the security apparatus carried out separate duties in the governorates of Iraq, beginning with the Tarmiyah district of the capital, Baghdad, in which two suspects who specialize in teaching the manufacture of improvised explosive devices were arrested.

Rasoul also announced the arrest of three ISIS members in the districts of Fallujah and Ramadi of Anbar governorate, in the west of the country.
