Syrian government-held areas record 88 new coronavirus cases
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The media office of the Syrian Ministry of Health recorded five deaths and 88 new coronavirus infections in its areas of control, yesterday, Sunday.
The deaths were one each in Damascus, Homs, Latakia, Aleppo and Suwayda.
Meanwhile, the media office recorded 100 new recoveries.
The new infections were 22 in Homs, 15 in Hama, 11 each in Tartus and Suwayda, 8 each in Damascus and Daraa, 6 in Aleppo, 5 in Latakia, and 2 in Rif Dimashq.
The total toll of the confirmed coronavirus infections in government-held areas has come up to 49,189, including 2,809 deaths and 30,376 recoveries.
