Turkey builds up attacks on Syria’s Aleppo countryside
MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – In the early morning of Thursday, Turkish forces and their affiliated Syrian armed opposition factions fired the outskirts of the al-Bab city in Aleppo eastern countryside, northern Syria, with scores of shells.
Manbij Military Council reported that approximately 30 mortar shells targeted the villages of al-Boweihej, Qurt Weran, al-Hamra and Mazra’at al-Fawaraes.
Towns and villages in northern Syria are under frequent attacks by Turkish forces and their affiliated armed factions.
“The shelling directed from the two Turkish bases east of al-Bab region namely Sheikh Naser and Shweiha,” Manbij Military Council posted on Facebook.
No more details were revealed concerning the shelling or loses they caused.
Last week, the Turkish forces bombarded the village of al-Bughaz in the eastern countryside of al-Bab with heavy ammunitions.
