Turkish forces target infrastructure in Syria’s Raqqa countryside
AIN ISSA, Syria (North Press) – Health and vital facilities in the town of Ain Issa and its countryside, north of Raqqa, northern Syria, have been bombed since Saturday morning by the Turkish forces and the affiliated armed opposition factions.
The Turkish forces bombed the vicinity of the Martyr Omar Alloush Hospital in the center of the town, and that a civilian car was hit by shrapnel near the site, North Press reported a military source.
The silos of the town of Ain Issa and the fuel station on the M4 Highway, east of Ain Issa, were also bombed and became out of service, the source added.
Shells also fell on the northern neighborhood of the town, and near the mosque in the center of the town.
The bombing coincided with intense flight of Turkish drones over the town.
The commercial movement in the town was suspended and the shops were closed, as well as the movement of civilians as a result of the bombing.
The town of Ain Issa and the western villages of Tel Abyad and other areas in northern Syria are occasionally bombed by the Turkish forces and the affiliated armed opposition factions.
