Syrian government-held areas record 90 new coronavirus infections
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The media office of the Syrian Ministry of Health recorded, yesterday, five deaths and 90 new coronavirus infections in its areas of control.
The deaths were one each in Damascus, Homs, Latakia, Aleppo and Tartus.
Meanwhile, the media office recorded 120 new recoveries.
The new infections were 18 in Damascus, 15 in Tartus, 13 in Hama, 10 in Aleppo, 9 each in Latakia and Rif Dimashq, 7 in Daraa, 6 in Quneitra, 2 in Homs, and one in Deir ez-Zor.
The total toll of the confirmed coronavirus infections in government-held areas has come up to 48,357, including 2,760 deaths and 29,392 recoveries.
