Russian-Turkish joint patrol runs in Syria’s Kobani

KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Russian Military Police (MP) along with Turkish forces, conducted a joint patrol in the western countryside of Kobani, northern Syria. This is the 80th joint patrol of the two forces conducted together. 

The patrol, which consisted of eight Russian and Turkish military vehicles accompanied by two Russian helicopters, set out from the village of Gharib, 15 kilometers east of Kobani.

The patrol roamed the villages of Qaramogh, Jeshan, Kharabisan Tahtani, Itoweran Tahtani and Baghdik, reaching the village of Khana Bandar Khan in the western countryside of Tel Abyad.

After completing its task, the patrol returned to its starting point in the village of Gharib.

After that, the Turkish military vehicles returned to Turkey through the gate near Gharib village, while the Russian military vehicles returned to their position near Sirrin town south of Kobani.

On November 22, the Russian MP conducted the 79th joint patrol with the Turkish forces in the western countryside of Kobani.
