IED targets government military vehicle in Syria’s Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, an IED exploded in a military vehicle of the Syrian government forces on the route runs from the town of Nawa to the town of al-Shaykh Sa’ad, in the western countryside of Daraa, south Syria.
The IED explosion targeted a car picking up five government soldiers, eyewitnesses told North Press.
Ambulances and fire engines arrived in the explosion site, while the government soldiers were transferred to the National Hospital in Nawa town knowing nothing about their fate so far.
Meanwhile, a state of military alert prevailed in the area where the government forces blocked the main route that links between Nawa and al-Shaykh Sa’ad town and deployed several inspection points.
After completing with the processes of settlement in early November, the number of assassinations and murders against residents and government soldiers in Daraa has increased.
Last week, a number of the government forces were wounded as a result of firing at their military vehicle on the route links between Nawa and al-Rafid town, in the western countryside of Daraa.
