Unknown assailants rob, damage school in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, a school in the town of al-Kishkiyah, 85 km east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria, was robbed and damaged by unknown assailants.

Al-Kishkiyah School was robbed and vandalized by unknown assailants, North Press reported a source from al-Kishkiyah.

The school records, papers and documents, in addition to heaters and some other contents, were stolen and burned, the sources added.

The unknown assailants destroyed the doors, windows, seats, chairs, school tables, and fuel and water tanks.

In a previous statement, Ahmad al-Rawi, head of the educational complex in the town of Abu Hamam, said they sent several letters to the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council demanding the employment of guards to schools in the town.

Three schools in the town of Abu Hamam, 80 km east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria, were robbed and destroyed by unknown assailants on October 10.
