Syrian government-held areas record 100 new coronavirus cases
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The media office of the Syrian Ministry of Health recorded, yesterday, five deaths and 100 new coronavirus infections in its areas of control.
The deaths were one each in Damascus, Suwayda, Latakia, Aleppo, and Deir ez-Zor.
Meanwhile, the media office recorded 95 new recoveries.
The new cases were 21 in Daraa, 19 in Suwayda, 18 in Damascus, 17 in Tartus, 10 in Aleppo, 7 in Latakia, 6 in Rif Dimashq, and one each in Hasakah and Quneitra.
The total toll of the confirmed coronavirus infections in government-held areas has come up to 47,764, including 2,729 deaths and 28,794 recoveries.
