Syrian government-held areas record 110 new coronavirus cases

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The media office of the Syrian Ministry of Health recorded, yesterday, five deaths and 110 new coronavirus infections in its areas of control.

The deaths were one each in Damascus, Suwayda, Latakia, Tartus, and Deir ez-Zor.

Meanwhile, the media office recorded 90 new recoveries.

The new cases were 38 in Damascus, 17 in Latakia, 16 in Rif Dimasheq, 10 in Hama, 7 each in Daraa and Suwayda, 5 each in Aleppo and Homs, 4 in Hasakah and one in Quneitra.

The total toll of the confirmed coronavirus infections in government-held areas has come up to 47,558, including 2,719 deaths and 28,607 recoveries.

On Tuesday, areas held by the Syrian government recorded five deaths and 117 new coronavirus cases.
