Government forces storm IDP camps in Syria’s Suwayda
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, Syrian government forces stormed a number of Bedouin tents in the Lajat region and tents of IDPs from Suwayda in the western countryside of Daraa, south Syria, in search for wanted people.
Earlier today, the government forces besieged some farms that had those who refused the settlements with the government last month.
Over the two past months, the security services of the government forces have set up settlement centers in order to settle the status of the wanted people of Daraa.
Today, clashes between the government forces and a group of wanted men, who refused the settlement with the government, took place east of the town of Nahta. One wanted person was wounded in the clashes.
In 2015, a number of Suwayda Bedouin tribes, who are the residents of the eastern Suwayda desert, were displaced at the hands of the Islamic State (ISIS), according to sources.
The government forces blocked the Sama-al-Maliha al-Sharqiya road and al-Maliha al-Sharqiya-Nahta road in tandem with the clashes.
