Clashes erupted in Syria’s Suwayda after two young men killed
SUWAYDA, Syria (North Press) – Two young men were killed and another wounded, yesterday, by a gang that blocked the road in Dahr al-Jabal area, east of Suwayda, southern Syria.
The gang shot directly at the people, as Imran Zainaddin and Rawa Masoud were killed, and Osama Hayder was wounded, and the gang members stole a car in which the three young men were traveling, a source from the area said.
The dead and injured were transferred to the National Hospital in Suwayda, and clashes erupted between the families of the young men and members of the Syrian government deployed in the vicinity of the hospital.
The government security services arrested two young men from the hospital, which sparked a crisis between families in the area and government forces, according to the source.
As a result, dozens of armed men mobilized and attacked the police command, the national hospital, and government forces’ patrols in other areas.
The sporadic clashes stopped late at night after the security forces released the two young men they had arrested at the National Hospital square, according to hospital sources.
On Monday, clashes erupted between members of the NDF and young men who were cutting down forest trees near a government military point on Qanawat Road in the city of Suwayda.
Two young men were wounded in the clashes, and were taken to the National Hospital in the city, and others were arrested.
