Wounded in missile strikes in north Syria’s Afrin

ALEPPO NORTHERN COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – Six people were wounded on Friday evening, in a missile attack targeting the city of Afrin, north of Aleppo, likely from government forces in the towns of Nubl and Zahra’, north of Aleppo.

The attack targeted the Turkish hall near Vilat Street in the city center, in addition to the fall of shells near al-Shifa’ Hospital in the city, wounding six civilians, including a child, with varying degrees, an exclusive source told North Press.  

The attack destroyed some properties in the targeted area, the source added.  

On  September 25, Russian warplanes bombed the Basila village in Sherawa district, south of Afrin, with three raids, no casualties were reported.

The city of Afrin and its villages, north of Aleppo, have been controlled by Turkish forces and the affiliated factions since March 2018.

The Afrin region has been witnessing cases of killing, kidnapping and arrest, in addition to frequent bombings, amid the inability of the factions controlling it to settle the security in the region.
