Five deaths, 143 coronavirus infections in Syrian government areas
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The media office of the Ministry of Health of the Syrian government recorded yesterday, five deaths and 143 new coronavirus infections in its areas of control.
The deaths were one each in Damascus, Latakia, Homs, Daraa and Deir ez-Zor,
Meanwhile, the media office announced 94 new recoveries.
The new cases were 33 in Rif Dimashq, 30 in Daraa, 17 in Damascus, 15 in Deir ez-Zor, 14 in Hama, 12 in Lattakia, 8 in Aleppo, 7 in Hasakah, 5 in Homs, and two in Tartous.
The total toll of the confirmed infections in the government-held areas has come up to 46,564, including 2,677 deaths and 27,867 recoveries.
