Turkey continues violating northeast Syria: SDF
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) reported new Turkish violations against the fronts of Tel Abyad, Tel Tamr and Ain Issa, north and northeast Syria on Monday.
“This morning, the Turkish occupation shelled the villages of Tel Amir, north the town of Zergan, with heavy weapons, forcing villagers to stop working in their agricultural fields,” the SDF Media Center said.
“The villages of al-Mu’allaq, al-Dibs, west of Ain Issa, and the M4 Highway were also bombed by the Turkish occupation,” it added.
The frequent provocations and shootings of the mercenaries of the occupation forces prevented the residents of Umm al-Baramil village, east of Ain Issa, to reach their farms and secure their daily livelihood, according to the SDF center.
The Media Center pointed out that the villages of the Salibi, Qez’ali silos and al-Mukhtariya, west of Tel Abyad, north Syria, were shelled with bursts of machine guns, and several failed sniping operations that targeted the farmers.
These violations, that are constantly committed by Turkey and its affiliated armed factions, “pose unprecedented threat to the de-escalation agreement and create extra difficulties for the residents in making their living in areas near the occupied areas,” the SDF Media Center noted.
