Fire in fuel station in Syria’s Raqqa leaves injuries
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – A fire broke out yesterday, in a fuel station in the countryside of Raqqa, north Syria, injuring two individuals.
The two injured were employees in al-Badri fuel station in a village, east of Raqqa, a member of Initial Response Team, Muhammad al-Menokh, said.
The fire caused by an electrical fire that burnt a fuel tank and the fire spread to the rest of the station’s tanks, he told North Press.
The two injured young men were hospitalized and “their conditions are stable with surface burns,” a medical source of Raqqa National Hospital said.
On October 12, a fire erupted in a warehouse for medical equipment in the National Hospital in Raqqa city reporting material losses only.
On August 22, a stall, near a garage in Raqqa, selling fuel was set on fire, which lasted for about two hours, leaving material losses.
In late July, a person lost his life and three others were injured during a fire that broke out in a public garage in Raqqa due to maintenance work (welding) on a metal tank close to tanks filled with fuel.
