SDF member wounded in explosion in Syria’s Raqqa city

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, member of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) was injured as a result of a landmine explosion west of Raqqa city, north Syria.

“A fighter was wounded in a landmine explosion planted by unknown persons near the road at the western entrance to the city of Raqqa,” Farhad Shami, head of the SDF Media Center, posted on his Facebook official page. 

“Our forces have started investigations to track down the perpetrator,” he said.

Shami did not mention any other details about the explosion or the injury of the fighter.

A commander and a member of the SDF lost their lives yesterday in two separate armed clashes in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
