Tribal clash leaves casualties, injuries in Syria’s Hasakah

AL-SHADDADI, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, six people and a woman lost their lives and others were injured as a result of a clash between two families followed a quarrel among children in a village, east of al-Shaddadi town, 40 kilometers south of Hasakah.

An infighting between cousins of al-Hazim clan with machine guns caused the killing of six individuals and a woman, and injured four others, who were transferred to hospitals of Hasakah, a source of the town told North Press.

Tribal heads and notables and the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) intervened to stop the infighting, the sources added.

On August 23, a person was killed and four others were wounded in a tribal infighting in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.

On August 7, a young man was critically wounded due to a tribal infighting between al-Hazim clan and al-Jeheish clan in the town of al-Hedadiya, in the southern countryside of Hasakah.
