We count on Russia for solution in Syria’s northeast: Future Syria Party

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – Russian presence in the region can create a balance and has to put Damascus under pressure in order to solve the Syrian crisis, head of Future Syria Party Council of Manbij branch, Azab al-Aboud, said on Monday.

Russia has to pressure the Syrian government in order to reach a political solution that guarantees rights of all communities and make ambitions of Syrian people come true, al-Aboud added.

She stressed, “Russia has to accelerate the talks between the government and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).”

“Russian presence in Syria is significant since Russia is a major player in the Syrian crisis as it creates a state of balance especially in northeast Syria in light of the recent Turkish threats,” she noted.

For a decade, “Syrians have been suffering from displacement, fragmentation of the social fabric, and killing,” she said.

“The Syrian issue has been turned from an internal crisis to external one allowing international powers to run it,” al-Aboud added.

The Syrian crisis, which has become complicated in light of the lack of a political solution, needs intra-Syrian talks under the influence of major global powers that turned Syria to arena for settling scores on the expenses and sufferings of Syrians, according to the leader.

Meanwhile, al-Aboud called on all global parties to the conflict in Syria to “help in solving the Syrian crisis through political and diplomatic methods for sake of ending Syrian’s sufferings according the UN issued resolutions regarding the solution in Syria.”

Talks with the Syrian government are completely halted currently since the latter is not serious and still holds on to the pre-2011 mindset, co-chair of the AANES Department of Foreign Relations, Abdulkarim Omar, said yesterday.
