QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Dozens of Iranian companies revealed, yesterday, that they are participating in the “Made in Iran” fair in the Syrian capital, Damascus, in December.
This came within the framework of the increasing Iranian economic influence alongside with the political, military and cultural influence in Syria over the past ten years.
70% of the participators in the fair are of the private sector, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Iran International Exhibitions’ Company, Hassan Zamani, said in a press conference yesterday.
About 164 companies are going to participate in the fair, Zamani added.
In October, the Syrian Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Dr. Samer al-Khalil, announced that he had agreed with the Iranian ambassador in Damascus, to hold the “Made in Iran” fair in Damascus International Fair.
Holding such a fair is the first of its kind to be hold in Damascus, and it comes within the framework of the expansionist project that Iran implements in the region.
Zamani hoped that the participating companies, through this fair, will reach remarkable understandings and sign contracts in trade field which will contribute positively to the development in Syria.
The fair will be hold on a space of about 4,590 m². Many commodities will be introduced, including medical equipment, building and construction materials, and architectural designs.
Additionally, agricultural supplies, oil, gas and petrochemical equipment, as well as food, textile, automobile will also be displayed in the fair.
It is worth mentioning that the second exclusive fair of Iran in Damascus will be run between 8 and 12 of November.
