QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A delegation of Kurdish National Council in Syria (ENKS) met with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, ENKS foreign relations office said on Friday.
The ENKS delegation discussed the political process in Syria and the latest developments regarding the work of the Syrian Constitutional Committee, the ENKS added.
They discussed the situation in the Kurdish areas in general and the need to work with Russia to find a solution to the Kurdish issue in Syria and to gain the Kurdish rights constitutionally, according to a statement released by the ENKS.
Bogdanov stressed the need to work in accordance with international resolutions and to continue efforts for a political solution, ENKS statement noted.
The Russian official confirmed, they stand by the rights of the Kurds and other communities in Syria within the framework of a comprehensive political solution in Syria, adding that the unity of the Kurds helps in efforts to gain these rights, the statement indicated.
