Government forces continue bombing sites in northwest Syria, new Turkish reinforcement enters
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday evening, Syrian government forces continued to bombard sites of Turkish-backed armed factions in the countryside of Idlib and Aleppo, northwest Syria, leaving casualties.
The government forces, stationed in the 46th Regiment bombed the Turkish-backed armed factions near the city of Darat Izza in the western countryside of Aleppo, with artillery and rockets, a source of the factions told North Press.
Three people, two children and a woman, were injured of varying severity in the bombing. They were transported n to medical points for treatment.
The factions’ sites, near the towns of al-Bara and Kansafra in Zawiya Mountain area in the southern countryside of Idlib, were hit by heavy artillery and missile launchers by the government forces.
The bombing left huge damage to civilians’ possessions, as the residential neighborhoods were targeted, the source reported.
Meanwhile, a Turkish military convoy entered Idlib today, to reinforce its observation points, which are deployed in Idlib.
A Turkish military convoy consisting of more than 20 vehicles, carrying logistical equipment and cement blocks, entered the Kafr Lossin border crossing north of Idlib, field sources said.
According to some press reports, there are about 13,000 Turkish soldiers, as well as 9,000 Turkish military vehicles in the area included in the agreement between Moscow and Ankara. .
