Two civilians died, four wounded in Turkish drone attack in Syria’s Kobani

KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, a Turkish drone targeted two civilian cars in the center of the city of Kobani, northern Syria, killing and wounding several people. 

Eyewitnesses said that they heard a “strong” explosion from the Kobani Jadida neighborhood south of the city.

The drone attack resulted in the killing of two civilians and the injury of four others.

“The drone targeted two cars which led to the killing of two civilians and the injury of four others,” said Muhammad Shahin, co-chair of the Executive Council of the Euphrates Region, northern Syria.

Shahin condemned the Turkish attack, holding Russian forces responsible for the attack.

“Such attacks will not stand in the way of the will of the people,” he stressed, calling on the international community to carry out its legal and moral responsibilities towards the people of northeast Syria’s region.
