Ten deaths, 280 coronavirus infections in Syrian government-held areas

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, the media office of the Ministry of Health of the Syrian government recorded 280 new coronavirus infections and ten deaths in its areas of control.

The deaths were two each in Aleppo, Latakia, Damascus and Quniatra, and one each in Hama and Suwayda. 

Meanwhile, the media office announced the recording of 72 new recoveries. 

The new cases were 58 in Latakia, 40 each in Suwayda and Homs, 30 in Aleppo, 27 in Daraa, 26 in Rif Dimashq, 24 in Damascus, 13 in Qunaitra, 12 in Tartus, and 10 in Hama.

The total toll of the infections in the government-held areas has come up to 37,509, including 2,358 deaths and 24,645 recoveries.
