AANES discusses political process in Syria with Belgian delegation

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) said that it had discussed the political process in Syria with a Belgian delegation that visited the headquarters of its Executive Council in Raqqa, north Syria, on Saturday.

The official website of the AANES reported that the Belgian delegation consisted of Georges Dalmaghni, a Belgian parliamentarian, Philippe Van Stetkisti, director of the International Association of Victims of Terrorism, and Rudi Malak, member of the board of directors of the Association of Victims of Terrorism.

The delegation was received by Berivan Khalid, the co-chair of the AANES Executive Council, and Joseph Lahdo, Deputy Co-chairmanship of the AANES Executive Council, the AANES website said.

The two sides discussed “the Participation of the Autonomous Administration in the political process and the constitutional committee, the role of Belgium in contributing to this political solution, and ways to support the Autonomous Administration,” according to the AANES official website.
