Iraqis vote in the early elections

ERBIL, KRG, Iraq (North Press) – On Sunday, Iraqis started to head to polling stations in the country to vote in the early elections. 

The Electoral Commission opened 8,273 electoral centers in the Iraqi governorates.

Prime Minister, Mustafa al-Kadhimi was the first to vote this morning, according to a statement by his media office.

Also, the office of President Barham Salih, announced that the latter had voted, and said that the early elections were a popular demand for change and reform.

The number of voters in Iraq is 25 million people, of whom 1.2 million people voted in the special elections of the military and the IDPs two days ago, and the percentage of voting was 69%, as it was announced by the High Electoral Commission.
