IED explodes in north Syria’s Azaz city
ALEPPO COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, an IED exploded in the industrial zone of Azaz city in the northern countryside of Aleppo, northern Syria.
The explosion took place inside a truck in the industrial zone eastern Azaz city, and caused material damage to the place, a private source told North Press.
The source added that the truck belonged to a civilian who works as a mechanic in the industrial zone and called Abu Ma’rouf al-Dadikhi.
On August 23, seven people were wounded in a VBIED explosion at the entrance to the city of Azaz.
The Azaz region and the surrounding villages have been under the control of the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions since July 2012.
Areas occupied by the Turkish-backed factions have been witnessing security chaos accompanied by frequent explosions, in addition to cases of abductions and corruption amid the failure of these factions to maintain security.
