Local sources told North Press that government security services and members of the army, accompanied by the Russian military police and the Central Committee in the western region, entered the town of Tel Shehab in the western countryside of Daraa.

The security services turned Abu Qantara School into a settlement center to settle the status of wanted individuals and oversee the surrender of a number of light weapons, the sources added.

The settlement included former members of the government’s Fourth Division who defected from the government forces during the siege of Daraa al-Balad, Tariq al-Sad, and the camps neighborhoods, according to the same sources.

Government forces are scheduled to enter the villages surrounding the town of Tel Shehab, which are al-Ajami, Nahj, Zayzon and al-Fawar, according to government sources.

This operation comes as a continuation of the agreement reached under the auspices of Russia between the Central Committee in the western region of Daraa and the government forces.
