Syrian government, Russian troops enter Syria’s Daraa countryside
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, groups affiliated with Syrian government forces entered the town of al-Yadudah in the western countryside of Daraa, south Syria, accompanied by Russian military police and members of the Central Committee in the western region.
On Sunday, the Central Committee in the western region held a meeting with the attendance of a Russian party, ehich ended with the entry of the government forces to the town and the subjecting of dozens of residents and wanted people to settlements, in addition to inspecting some houses in the town.
The government security apparatuses established a center in an intermediate school for females in the town in order to settle the conditions of some wanted people in the town, local sources told North Press.
Russian military police raised the Russian flag over the school building where the settlement is taking place without raising the Syrian flag, according to the source.
The source added that the government forces, accompanied by the Russian military police, searched some houses in the town, and no violations were recorded during the inspection process.
On Wednesday, the government forces members and their security apparatuses began to enter the besieged neighborhoods in Syria’s Daraa according to the agreement reached by the negotiating parties.
