SDF arrests ISIS member in east Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Counter-terrorism forces of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) managed to arrest an ISIS member in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, the SDF official website reported on Sunday.
The SDF forces arrested the member of the ISIS sleeper cell in the town of Thiban, in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, with the support of the US-led Global Coalition forces, the website added.
“He was active in executing terrorist operations against posts, and military and security checkpoints of the SDF in the area, and some weapons and ammunition were also confiscated.”
The SDF pointed out that “today’s operation was the third of its kind in this month with the aim of pursuing ISIS sleeper cell.”
