Another IED explodes in Syria’s Sere Kaniye within hours of first blast
TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, another IED exploded within hours in the city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), north of Hasakah, northeastern Syria, which is currently occupied by Turkish forces and pro-Turkish armed Syrian factions.
On Wednesday morning, an IED exploded in al-Kanayis (Churches) neighborhood in the center of Sere Kaniye at about 10:20 a.m.; a civilian was killed and two others were wounded.
An informed source told North Press that another IED explosion shook the city of Serekaniye, about three hours after the first explosion, at the entrance to the main market near the armed factions’ checkpoint; no casualties were reported, and the losses were limited to material damage.
Since Turkish forces and pro-Turkish armed factions took over Sere Kaniye and its countryside at the end of 2019, the area is witnessing constant security chaos.
