IED explodes in Syria’s Sere Kaniye, leaving causalities

TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, a civilian was killed and others were wounded in an IED explosion in Sere Kaniye city, north of Hasakah, northeast Syria, which is currently occupied by Turkish forces and pro-Turkish armed Syrian factions.

The explosion was caused by an IED in al-Kanayis (Churches) neighborhood in the center of Sere Kaniye at about 10:20 a.m., local sources told North Press.

The explosion killed an Iraqi civilian and wounded at least two others, the sources added.

Since Turkish forces and pro-Turkish armed factions took over Sere Kaniye and its countryside at the end of 2019, the area is witnessing constant security chaos.
