Turkey renews shelling of Syria’s Tel Tamr

TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday-Wednesday night, Turkish forces and Turkish-backed armed Syrian factions renewed their shelling on the countryside of Tel Tamr town, northeast Syria.

Turkish forces targeted three villages (Kozaliya, Tel al-Laban, and Umm al-Khair) in the western countryside of Tel Tamr near the M4 Highway with more than 10 shells, a source from the Tel Tamr Military Council said.

The impacts of the shelling were limited to material losses in residents’ properties, according to the source.

During the past two days, the frontlines in Tel Tamr were completely calm following three weeks of military escalation by Turkish forces targeting villages of the towns of Tel Tamr and Zargan (Abu Rasin), northeast Syria.
