Russian-Turkish joint patrol conducted in Syria’s east Kobani
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, Russian military police conducted a joint patrol with Turkish forces in the eastern countryside of Syria’s Kobani, the 69th patrol between the two forces in the region.
The patrol, which consisted of eight Russian and Turkish military vehicles accompanied by two Russian helicopters, set out from the village of Gharib, 15 kilometers east of Kobani.
It roamed the villages of Karbanaf, Kosk, Alishar, Jom Ali, Kortek, Kobk, Satan, Tiri, Tel Hajeb, Qabajaq Saghir, Talk, Holaqiya, Kharabisan Tahtani, Itoyaran Tahtani, Jishan, and Qarah Mough.
The patrol returned to the start point in the village of Gharib.
After that, Turkish military vehicles returned to Turkey through the gate near the village, while the Russian military vehicles returned to their position near a radio tower seven kilometers west of Kobani.
On August 23, Russian and Turkish forces conducted the 68th joint patrol in the western countryside of Kobani.
