Future Syria Party warns of ISIS revival amid Turkish escalation
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, the Future Syria Party in northeast Syria warned of the revival of ISIS cells coinciding with the escalation of Turkish attacks on the region, which have entered a new phase.
Turkey is using different ways to strike the security and stability of northeast Syria, seeks to activate the sleeper cells, bomb regions located on the line separating between it and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and use drones to target the residents, according to the party.
“The systematic Turkish attacks on northeast Syria are negatively affecting the military and security performance of our forces in combating ISIS cells,” head of the Future Syria Party in Deir ez-Zor Muhammad al-Rajab said.
“For some time, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) has been facing activity of the cells of all the foreign agendas aspiring to destabilize security and stability in the region and thwart its project, especially the Muslim Brotherhood regime in Turkey, with the aim of reviving these cells and creating a suitable environment for their work.”
“It is no secret the ramifications of the hostile policy that Turkey is following, which has increased after liberating the region from ISIS and AANES’ unparalleled experience in the world.”
“The influential powers should bear their moral responsibilities towards the region. They should work to stop the attacks that threaten the citizens’ lives and security.”
Al-Rajab called on the international community and human rights organizations to strop the Turkish interventions “in case there was a real desire to uproot terrorism.”
