SDF, Global Coalition destroy ISIS war remnants in Syria’s northeast
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, during combing campaigns by RAMCO organization in cooperation with international organizations, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, detonated war remnants of Islamic State (ISIS), including mines and shells.
“These remnants bear chemical substances which ISIS used during their attack on Kobani in September of 2014,” a military source of SDF told North Press.
“The detonation took place in an empty area in the southern countryside of Hasakah in order to destroy these substances and eliminate the threat to residents of Syria’s northeast,” the source added.
