Government forces shell opposition in Syria’s northwest
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the Syrian government forces bombed areas in the countryside of Idlib, Hama and Aleppo, northwest of Syria, which are under the control of the opposition factions, with missiles and artillery shells, which led to the injury of a child, while the opposition factions bombed government sites in the countryside of Idlib and Hama.
Opposition military sources told North Press that the government forces bombed military sites in the villages and towns of al-Fatira, Kafr Oweid, Sfuhun, Kansafra and the outskirts of al-Bara town in the Zawiya Mountain area, south of Idlib, with heavy artillery shells and Grad rockets.
The town of al-Ziyara, in the western countryside of Hama, was subjected to artillery and missile shelling by the government forces which are stationed in the Jurin camp. Also, the town of Tadel, west of Aleppo, was subjected to a similar bombardment which resulted in the injury of a child, according to Civil Defense sources.
For its part, the al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room, which includes several factions, announced targeting sites in the villages of Jurin, al-Jaid, al-Rasif, al-Bahsa in the Ghab Plain area, west of Hama.
A source of the National Front for Liberation told North Press that the their factions targeted “the positions of the regime forces on the Hazarin axis in the same area.”
