Turkey bombs Syria’s Manbij countryside
MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, Turkish forces bombed several villages affiliated with al-Arima district, 35 km west of Manbij, northern Syria.
Turkish forces and pro-Turkish armed factions used al-Karidiya base in the eastern countryside of al-Bab to bomb the villages of Jub al-Hamra and al-Houta near al-Arima district, a source in the Manbij Military Council said.
Turkish forces and the armed factions bombed those villages with 36 indiscriminately fired shells, according to the source.
The northern villages of the city of Manbij witness frequent shelling by Turkish forces and the armed factions, in conjunction with infiltration attempts by their members.
On Sunday at dawn, Turkish forces bombed villages adjacent to the front line from the village of al-Hoshariya, northeast of Manbij, to the village of al-Hamra in the western countryside of Manbij, with approximately 70 mortar shells.
