Turkey bombards Syria’s Aleppo northern countryside

ALEPPO NORTHERN COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – Yesterday, the Turkish forces, stationed in the military base in the village of Nedda, east of Azaz, bombed several villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo, north Syria, with heavy artillery shells.

An exclusive source told North Press that the Turkish artillery bombed the villages of Mara’anaz, Alqamiyah, Shawargha and Qal’at Shawargha, in addition to the villages of Beineh, Kashta’ar, Deir Jamal, Soganakeh and Aqiba, targeting residential neighborhoods in those villages.

The source added that the bombing continued for several hours yesterday evening, until midnight.

More than 300,000 displaced people from Afrin live in the northern countryside of Aleppo, after the Turkish military invasion of the area in January 2018 and its occupation later in March 2018.
