Government bombardment wounds child, his mother in Syria’s Aleppo countryside

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, Syrian government forces shelled posts of Turkish-backed armed factions in the western countryside of Aleppo, north Syria, wounding a mother and her child.

On Saturday, the government forces targeted the factions’ fortifications in the villages and towns of Kfar Ta’al, Kfar Amah, and Taqad in the western countryside of Aleppo, with artillery shells and missiles, military sources from the factions told North Press.

As a result of the government shelling, a woman and her child were wounded in the town of Kfar Ta’al and were transferred to a medical point for treatment, the sources added.

The government forces artillery shelled the outskirts of Majdaliya village in the eastern countryside of Idlib, additionally they targeted the outskirts of the town of al- Qahira in Ghab Plain in the western countryside of Hama, according to the sources.

The government shelling coincided with intensive flight by Russian warplanes and drones over Idlib, Hama, and Aleppo reporting no airstrikes, according to the same sources.

On Saturday morning, al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room, which includes Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front) and other armed groups, announced that they targeted the government military gatherings in Haiyer Darkal in the western countryside of Aleppo and the town of Milaja, south of Idlib, with mortars and heavy artillery.
