Palestine repatriates two ISIS children from Syria’s AANES

QAMISHI, Syria (North Press) –   On Wednesday, the Department of Foreign Relations of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) said that it handed over two children from the families of the Islamic State (ISIS) to a representative of the Palestinian government in Qamishli.

The co-chair of the Department of Foreign Relations in the AANES, Abdul Karim Omar, and administrators in the department received the Palestinian delegation headed by Fahmi Helles, advisor to the Consulate General of the State of Palestine in the Kurdistan region of Iraq (KRG).

The Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration posted a video on Facebook in which Fahmi thanked the AANES for protecting children and expressed his happiness in accomplishing the humanitarian mission.

Since the elimination of ISIS in March 2019, the AANES and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have been calling for the repatriation of thousands of ISIS wives and children in the camps.
