Russia air raided opposition’s sites in Syria’s northwest
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, Russian warplanes air raided sites in the countryside of Hama and Latakia, northwest Syria, while the countryside of Aleppo and Idlib witnessed continued mutual shelling between the Syrian opposition factions and the Syrian government forces.
Military sources of the opposition factions told North Press that the Russian warplanes targeted sites of the factions in the village of Doweir al-Akrad in the Ghab Plain, west of Hama.
The sources added that the air raids also targeted the areas of al-Kabina in Jabal al-Akrad, north of Latakia, without reports of casualties.
The government forces also continued their artillery and missile shelling on the villages and towns of al-Fatirah, Kafr Oweid, Sufuhn, al-Bara and Kansafra in the Zawiya Mountain region in the southern countryside of Idlib.
Similar bombing targeted the villages and towns of Tel Wasit, al-Ziyarah and Zayzoun in the western countryside of Hama, and the villages of Kafr Ama and Kafr Ta’al, west of Aleppo.
A source of the National Front for Liberation, which is affiliated with the Syrian National Army (SNA), told North Press that the opposition factions targeted positions of the government forces in the Jurin Camp, west of Hama, with rockets and artillery shells.
While the al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room, which includes several opposition factions, targeted the positions of the Syrian government forces in the town of Dadikh, the village of al-Dar al-Kabira and the Saraqib region, south and east of Idlib, with artillery and mortar shells.
