Government forces kill person, wound another in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, a young man was killed and another was wounded, while they were directly targeted by members of a government forces checkpoint in the town of Khirbet Ghazala in the eastern countryside of Daraa, south Syria.

A source of the young man’s family told North Press that he was killed while on his way to buy bread from the automatic bakery in the town, as he was targeted by the Air Force Intelligence checkpoint stationed on the Namer-Khirbet Ghazala road in the eastern countryside of Daraa.

The dead man, Na’im Faraj al-Hariri, 16, was from the town of Maliha al-Atash in the eastern countryside of Daraa, according to the same source.

In a related context, the government forces closed the road between the towns of Da’el and Tafas in the western countryside of Daraa and prevented the residents from moving in both directions, according to local sources.

Daraa governorate is witnessing a state of relative calm, after an unannounced truce between the government forces and the Central Committee, which ends tomorrow morning, according to a source of the Central Committee.
