Russia renews targeting of opposition in Syria’s Latakia, Hama
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, the Russian warplanes renewed their airstrikes on the Turkish-backed armed factions’ positions in the countryside of Latakia and the western countryside of Hama, northwest Syria.
Russian warplanes targeted the Kabanah hills and the vicinity of the Barza area in the northern countryside of Latakia with several airstrikes, military sources told North Press.
They also targeted the villages of Diwer al-Akrad and al-Sirmaniyah in Ghab Plain, west of Hama.
Meanwhile, government forces continued to target the positions of the Turkish-backed armed factions in the towns of Sufuhn, al-Fateira and al-Bara, south of Idlib, with heavy artillery shells and missiles, according to the sources.
Yesterday at midnight, the government forces targeted the fortifications of the armed factions in the villages and towns of the Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib, and Ghab Plain with dozens of missiles, according to the same sources.
The armed factions targeted the positions of the government forces in the cities of Kafr Nubl, Saraqib and Ma’arat al-Numan in addition to the towns of Basqala, Hazarin, Khan al-Sabil and Dadikh, south and east of Idlib.
The sources indicated that armed factions targeted the positions of the government forces at al-Burkan checkpoint in the Ghab Plain with mortars and artillery.
On Tuesday at night, Russian warplanes targeted the vicinity of al-Bara town with several air strikes.
