Turkish-backed faction’s leader boasts of shelling residents in Syria’s north Aleppo

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Yesterday, Sunday, an official in a Turkish-backed armed Syrian faction released video footage of his militants shelling a populated area north the city of Aleppo with rockets.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, populated areas in Tel Rifa’at and other areas in Aleppo countryside were violently shelled by Turkish forces and Turkish-backed Syrian armed factions.

Moreover, in the video footage, Muhammad al-Jasem (known as Abu Amsha, the leader of the Sultan Suleiman Shah Brigade), boasted of shelling people in the village of Deir Jamal in the countryside of Tel Rifa’at.

“We promise and we keep our promises, we do not break our promises, our response is always ready,” Abu Amsha tweeted, accompanied by video footage of the shelling.

The video footage showed militants of the Sultan Suleiman Shah Brigade targeting villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo with dozens rocket propelled grenades.

It is worth mentioning that activists and human rights organizations accuse Abu Amsha, who has become infamous since Turkish forces and the armed factions took control over Afrin in 2018, of committing serious human rights violations in his areas of control.
