Two ISIS members killed in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, two members of ISIS were killed in an airstrike by the Global Coalition and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in a town east of Deir Ez-zor, east Syria.
“SDF forces supported by the Global Coalition conducted two airstrikes on al-Latwa neighborhood in the Thiban town where clashes broke out between the forces and ISIS,” a military source from the SDF said.
The clashed resulted in the killing of two members of ISIS, while the others fled.
The Global Coalition and the SDF occasionally launch raids to pursue ISIS sleeper cells in the towns of the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
On Thursday, the SDF arrested two ISIS members, one of them was a leader. Another ISIS member was killed in a raid launched by the SDF in al-Zar town, east of Deir ez-Zor.
