QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, Hezbollah militants were stationed at a location on the outskirts of the city of al-Mayadin in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that the concentration of Hezbollah members in the military point came after the withdrawal of the Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas militia of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

He added that Hezbollah had installed a 23 caliber anti-aircraft missile system at the military point located near the al-Shibli area on the outskirts of the city of Mayadin in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

Last week, a military source told North Press that factions supported by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards began deploying short-range missiles and medium-range artillery within their military points and headquarters in the western and eastern Deir ez-Zor countrysides.
