Turkish forces bombed Syria’s Manbij, civilian wounded
MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, the Turkish forces bombed the northwestern countryside of Manbij, northern Syria, with heavy weapons, which resulted in the injury of a civilian.
A local source in the village of al-Hoshariya, 10 km northeast of the city of Manbij, said that the bombing from the Turkish base in the village of Qirata started in the late hours of last night.
According to the source, the young man Hussein Mawas was severely injured in the abdomen, and was hospitalized for treatment.
A medical source at Dar al-Shifa’ Hospital in the city said that Mawas’ condition is “currently stable after providing first aid and conducting surgery to extract the shrapnel.”
The official website of the Manbij Military Council said that the countryside of Manbij, starting from northeast to northwest, was bombed by the Turks with more than 17 shells.
In addition, fighters of the Manbij Military Council thwarted an infiltration operation near the Sajur River in separate areas of the frontlines, which led to the killing of five members of the pro-Turkish factions, according to the council’s official website.
